Biomethane Certificates Biomethane Certificates

The balance group coordinator AGCS Gas Clearing and Settlement AG as neutral market player was nominated to operate the certification and registry system for biomethane injected into the Austrian gas grid. The biomethane certificates document the energy amount, quality criteria such as used substrate and production process, the production plant and the current owner. Biomethane certificates are the basis for the Austrian support system for renewable power from biomethane delivered via the Austrian gas grid.
