Registration Registry User/Trader

The user role „registry user” (Registernutzer/Händler) covers all users of the Biomethan Register Austria who are not biomethane plant operators, biomethane electrification plant operators or auditors, but have an interest in the biomethane market. The role „registry user” is mainly taken up by natural gas traders and commodity traders.

To open a registry-user-account in the Biomethan Register Austria, there is an annual user fee according to the “Regulation of Fees” (Gebührenordnung). The application requires the following documents to be provided in detail:

• Application form to establish a contract for registry users (traders) (AF-RN)
• Application form for user activation (AF-FS)
• Natural gas trading: Confirmation of notification to Energie-Control Austria of commencement of activity as natural gas trader according to § 121 GWG 2011 (registration form of the regulator E-Control Austria)
• Business license in copy
• Company register excerpt (date of issue not older than 3 months; in the case of companies with registered offices outside Austria, notarized and, if necessary, in German or English translation)
• Current annual reports for the last two fiscal years

To finalise your application, submit the documentation package – requested certificates and duly signed application form – in paper form and per post to:

• Actions to be taken by the registry operator:
  • Your application documents will undergo a thorough verification process at AGCS Gas Clearing and Settlement AG.
  • The registry operator reserves the right to request additional documents and certificates in case of unclarities.
  • After successful verification of your documents, an account will be opened for your entity.
  • Your access data will be provided by the registry operator.

The contract is concluded between the registry operator AGCS Gas Clearing and Settlement AG and the respective market participant ("registry user") with the opening of the account in the system of the Biomethan Register Austria. From this date, the activated users may access the registry system, may execute dedicated functions, and perform respective business processes of its dedicated user account role.
